Kitchen Planning And Design Aesthetics
Whether you have a clear idea for your new kitchen design or else are starting with a fully blank canvas, our expert designers will work with you to understand your unique tastes, requirements and ‘sense of space.’ They will then translate these into beautiful concepts of materials and finishes, drawn together within a style that is uniquely yours.
All of LWK Kitchens SA Designers have a qualification in a design-related discipline such as Architecture or Interior Design. We only recruit graduates, many of whom have graduated from the country’s most prestigious designs schools such as Greenside Design Center, Inscape Design College or the University of Pretoria (TUKS). On joining LWK Kitchens each of our designers then embarks on a 2 year specialist training programme to develop the necessary skillset for designing our beautiful, high-end kitchens.
Kitchen Ergonomics & Functionality
At LWK Kitchens SA we design with our client in mind, catering for each individual and their household’s requirement. Taking the time and knowing the right questions to ask will help us understand your family’s needs and routines, as well as who will use your kitchen and for what purposes. For example, you might want a multi-purpose kitchen island used for cooking, dining, enjoying a glass of wine, or at which you can help with homework. Larger families benefit from generous storage solutions such as a pull-out larder to stock high quantities of provisions with easy access. Or for an enthusiastic cook versus someone who never cooks we may specify a higher grade of oven with more advanced cooking functionality. Your preferences for using your kitchen will influence the design layout and specification we produce for you.
Pricing Our Kitchens
Kitchens that look very similar can vary significantly in cost. For example, a matt laminate kitchen door is far less expensive than one of our matt design glass kitchen finishes. Or bi-fold doors and pan drawers are more expensive than standard opening cupboards. This means that the different options and finishes included within a design will have an important impact on the overall cost of the kitchen. Knowing this, we can work with you to identify those factors within a kitchen that you place the most value on and predispose your budget to wards these areas, whilst selecting clever alternatives to bring the cost down elsewhere. In this way we can ensure you receive a beautiful, functional design that meets your expectations, within a realistic kitchen price.
